How to come to the Carnival?

By Train

Two regional trains serve Granville:

  • The line Paris to Granville from Montparnasse train station in Paris (more information here)
  • The line Caen to Rennes serves Granville’s train station (more information here)

By Bus Nomad

The Department of La Manche as a partner of the Carnival, offers Nomadexpress lines to get to the Carnival. More information will be available soon here and on the website transports.manche.fr

Carpooling

Don’t forget about carpooling! A lot of people from everywhere will be taking their car to reach the Carnival of Granville. You can see rides on blablacar.fr.

Free shuttles

On Sunday, the town will be closed to cars at 10am. To get to the center of town to enjoy the cavalcade and the fair, you can use free shuttles.

The beginning of the line is at the roundabout of “La Maison Brûlée” on the road going to Villedieu-les-Poêles. It ends at the Dior stadium or at the roundabout of “les Amiraux”.

Motor coach

If you are travelling with a motor coach, the parking area is located at 4 rue du Roc in the old town of Granville. During Carnival, as this parking lot gets full very quickly, the Town Hall allows motor coaches to park on the parking lot of the Arsenal (situated in front of the aquarium “Le Roc des Harmonies”).

It is strictly forbidden to park in the city center.

Disabled access

During the Sunday cavalcade, a platform is set up for spectators in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility. It is located by the parking of the Post Office (Cours Jonville). You can access it through the street called « rue de la Crète » and you can park Quai d’Orléans.

Thank you for coming strictly before 12pm.
